Captivating

I'm reading this book at the moment wich is called Captivating. My friend Lauren bought it for me. On the cover it states that the book is about "Unveiling the mystery of a woman's soul". I'm only up to chapter 3 but so far it is pretty good. There are some nice points, here are a few:

"Every woman in her heart of hearts longs for three things: to be romanced, to play an irreplacable role in a great adventure, and to unveil beauty. That's what makes a woman come alive"

"Nature is not primarily functional. It is primarily beautiful."

"Eve is created becasue things were not right without her. Something was not good. "It is not good for the man to be alone" (Gen 2:18). This just staggers us. Think of it. The world is young and completely unstained. Adam is yet in his innocence and full of glory. He walks with God. Nothing stand between them. They share something none of us has ever known, only longed for: an unbroken friendship, untouched by sin. Yet something is not good? Something is missing? What could it possible be? Eve. Woman. Femininity. Wow. Talk about significance."

I'll post more as i continue to read the book.

I like that very intersting...did Lauren buy you the book for a specific reason? Perhaps you have forgotten how beautiful the feminine mystique can be....I like your blog Jess Jess very neat indeed (I thought id put 'neat'there so you can start getting used to "Canadian" words!) How very thoughtful of me hahaha
